Pros – the attention to detail is excellent and even a welcome pack on arrival with chocolates, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc.! Beautiful renovation too. A true gem.
Cons – Nothing! There was nothing to improve and quite frankly a lot of people have a lot to learn from our host.

Faultless! We stayed in Wellington Cottage for 3 nights for a wedding. Everything has been thought of in this cottage making it the perfect home from home. It’s cosy, very clean and so convenient being next to the pub, round the corner from Tesco and right on the high street with on-street parking outside the house. Sarah was welcoming, efficient and there if we needed anything throughout the stay. We would move in if we could! Excellent stay, perfect cottage and beautiful area, Thank you Sarah – we will be back!
We have just had 2 lovely nights at Wellington Holiday Cottage, which we used as a base while up in the area for a Christening.
The cottage is easy to find with free on street parking. Inside, it has been renovated and furnished to a high standard, with everything you could need for a short break, including wifi.
In short it was a lovely little “home from home” and we will definitely recommend to friends looking for a stay in the area.
Wow what a find!
Just spent 3 nights here whilst visiting friends locally. This little cottage is an absolute gem. We arrived late on a Friday night to find a welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits which was very welcome after a 6hr journey.
The main bedroom had plenty of storage, with a single fold up bed in the cupboard. However our 13yr old preferred the sofa bed in the lounge (Dad snores!). Excellent nights sleep had by all! Free wifi = Netflix = happy teenager!
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. Even down to washing up liquid and bin bags! Although I do feel you need a degree to work out the council recycling policy .
There is a pub next door that serves food although we didn’t eat there, we did have a drink. The locals were very friendly and the landlord even gave me some ice to take back so I could have a drink at home. You don’t need to worry about the noise because we didn’t hear a thing.
Tesco is 2 minutes away with another pub/restaurant next to it.
So it’s with a heavy heart I write this review, I fear my positive thoughts will make this place very popular, which may mean we won’t get booked in again! That said we will definitely be back!
